Tim Cassi, Founder of Focus Lacrosse – LGR Episode 140
In 8th grade Tim Cassi’s team in Virginia needed a goalie and he loved the idea of not having to run!
He’s been in the cage ever since! And aside from getting pegged with shots, he’s loved every minute of it.
He played his college ball at the D3 program at King’s College and was their career save percentage leader at 60%.
Early on Coach Tim Cassi helped coach at a bunch of goalie camps including: the Princeton lacrosse camp with Trevor Tierney. Navy lacrosse goalie camp with Ray Finnegan, and Coach Pilat lacrosse camps.
With that background of great lacrosse goalie minds Coach Cassi started forming his own theories about the lacrosse goalie position as he moved out to the Southern California and as he continued to develop goalies.
All that goalie knowledge ended up coming back to something so simple – see the ball, save the ball.
